BigV Results – 29 & 30 March

A weekend of ups and downs at The Jungle and beyond for our BigV squads!

🏀 Div 2 Men
Went up against a red-hot Collingwood side and couldn’t match their pace this time, going down 71–106. A tough game, but valuable lessons to take into next week.

🏀 Div 2 Women
What a game! The women dug deep and pulled off a clutch win over Coburg 69–60. An incredible effort in the final minutes – true Panther spirit on display!

🏀 Youth League Women
Our girls hit the road to face Surfcoast and went down 59–81. A challenging game, but they’ll be back, stronger and more determined.

🏀 Youth League Men
Held it down at The Jungle and came away with the win over the Whittlesea Pacers, 79–68. Solid teamwork and hustle sealed the deal!

It’s that time of year when the energy is high and the competition is fierce – JUNIOR DOMESTIC FINALS are upon us! 💪🔥

At Wallan Basketball, we are proud to be a Child Safe Club. That means we’re committed to providing a safe, respectful and supportive environment for everyone—on and off the court.

👏 Cheer loudly, support positively – and remember: ✅ Respect our referees, officials, players, coaches, and each other
✅ Keep all language clean and encouraging
✅ Stay behind the spectator lines
✅ Let the coaches coach, and the refs ref
🚫 Abusive language or violent behaviour will NOT be tolerated
🚨 If you see something that doesn’t sit right – report it

📣 FINALS RULE REMINDERS – ALL PLAYERS MUST COMPLY:
🔹 No piercings unless fully taped before the game – the stadium will NOT provide tape or bandaids
🔹 No pockets, no zips, and no green Panther shorts
🔹 Fingernails must be trimmed – fake nails must be securely taped
🔹 No loose t-shirts under singlets – only compression tops are permitted
🔹 All jewellery must be removed. Religious jewellery must be properly taped and worn under a sweatband
🔹 Bring a t-shirt to change into – losing teams will need to return their singlets after the game

Let’s show our Panther Pride and make these finals a celebration of teamwork, respect, and good sportsmanship. 💜
