Wallan Basketball is excited to announce our inaugral 3x3
basketball tournament!
​
With the Gangurrus qualifiying for the Olympics, and the
introduction of the Basketball Victoria 3×3 pathway, Wallan
Basketball is announcing its inaugral tournament . To join in
the fun we are hosting an event here at Wallan for our WBI
junior domestic and rep players.

This event is for anyone looking to have some fun playing
3×3 basketball. Our next 3x3 tournament will be part of the
Basketball Victoria 3X Cup where the winning teams at our
tournament move on to represent Wallan at a Basketball
Victoria state qualifying event. All your results contribute to
your FIBA 3×3 official ranking points making you a globally
ranked 3×3 player no matter your ability!

COST: $100 per team

DATE: Saturday 5 October 2024
​
VENUE: RB Robson Stadium, 48 Bentinck Street, Wallan
​
GAMES: Subject to team entries but aiming for 4+
​​
ELIGIBILITY: Must be a current WBI domestic or rep player, no exceptions.
​
TEAM SIZE: Must have 4 players, no more or no less. This is the maximum allowed for a 3×3 event and covers the team in case of injury.
​
TEAM MAKEUP: You can have whoever you want on your team as long as they meet the age group eligibility and are a current WBI domestic or rep player.
​
AGE GROUPS: By year of birth. Strictly no exceptions.
U11 - 2014, 2015 and 2016
U13 – 2012 & 2013
U15 – 2010 & 2011
U17 – 2008 & 2009
U19 – 2006 & 2007

REGISTRATION: The registration has 3 steps and must be done in the below order. Registrations close on 27 September.

To register a team, each player in your team requires a FIBA3x3 player profile. If they don’t already have one, to register as a player please follow the steps below:

Go to the player registration box below (1) and click signup to create a profile.

Complete the individual details.

Create a password and click ‘Sign Up to FIBA’.

You will receive an email from FIBA3x3 with a link to confirm your profile.

Once confirmed, you can be added to any team registered for a FIBA3x3 event.

Once all of the players have created their individual profiles, you will be able to submit your team via Google Form (box number 2 below). Once the team is approved, you will be sent a link to pay the team fee.

Register your team through FIBA 3×3 Event Page (box number 3 below) and add your players to your team.

DIVISIONS: This will depend on the number of entries. If there is only one division, teams will play for position based on ladder/pool position finish. Teams with rep players should list A grade on their entries.
​
BASKETBALL: FIBA 3×3 ball. This ball is the same for all age groups based on FIBA 3×3 rules.
​
UNIFORMS: Each team should be in matching uniforms. If you don't have a matching set of uniforms, the association can provide your team with a uniform. The cost will be $120 cash payable on the day, which includes a $100 bond which will be returned at the end of the day once the team returns all of their loaned uniforms.
